Features andapplication of MM series composite plates :
MM seriescomposite plates are made by certain kind of metal or non-metal materials and some kind s of special resins, differentmixture of the these material will resulted in different hardnesstherefore different lapping/polishing performance can be achieved. Comparedwith pure metal or pure non-metal plate, the composite plates optimize the hardness and working mechanisms which can be shown in surface finish, lapping efficiencyand flatness control. For example, for two plates, one is cast iron plate, and one is resin-iron plates, if they are usingthe same size of abrasive to do the lapping, the resin-iron plate will have a shining surface with Ra value of lessthan half of the parts lapping on cast iron plate , while the stockremoval rate can double.
MM series compisition plate are also called mechanical polishing plate,they can be used to polish almost allkind of material from hard to soft by workong with certaingrit size of diamond slurry ,there is a wide of application of MM seriescomposition plate, like polishing ofCemented carbide, ceramic,steel, aluminium alloy,sapphire, as well as some soft andbrittle cystals like ZnSe, ZnS etc.
